These capabilities, combined with diverse expertise, have led to remarkable achievements, including active collaborations with over 20 customers and partners in the bio-based economy sector, a network of over 100 contacts within the bio-based economy landscape, and a technology transfer and Open Innovation network boasting over 400 established contacts worldwide.

Role in the project

In the TEAPOTS project, STAM is the administrative and financial manager ensuring the correct functioning of the Consortium supporting the coordinator. From a technical standpoint, STAM will develop a digital model to evaluate the environmental impact of the processes involved in the project. This will help the further development of the value chains through a science-driven decision support system according to their environmental footprint.

The main activities in which STAM is involved include:

  • WP4 – Arrangement of the Italian pilot in Sicily and replication through the digital platform developed during the project.

  • WP6 – Dynamic LCA approach and evaluation of the pilots’ environmental impact to create a digital model able to predict the impact of new technologies on environmental issues for each ring of the value chain.

  • WP7 – Surveys and multi-actor approach to include Italian stakeholders’ point of view in the development of TEAPOTS’ solutions.
