TEAPOTS solutions showcased at the 1st Training & Demonstration Day in Greece

The TEAPOTS project was showcased during the 1st Training & Demonstration Day in Greece, held on 6 March 2026 at Filia Ghi in Sofades. The workshop was organised by the project partner, the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), in cooperation with the thERBN project, bringing together local stakeholders, farmers, researchers, and practitioners interested in sustainable biomass solutions for the rural bioeconomy.

During the event, participants were introduced to the TEAPOTS approach to small-scale, decentralised technologies that convert agricultural residues into valuable products, such as energy and biochar. Presentations highlighted the technologies integrated in the TEAPOTS solutions, including pyrolysis, Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC), and biomass-based heating technologies, demonstrating how these innovations can support circular bioeconomy solutions at the local level.

A key highlight of the workshop was the field visit to the TEAPOTS integrated demonstration unit at Filia Ghi, where participants observed the system in operation and discussed its technical and practical aspects with experts. The visit provided valuable insights into how agricultural residues can be valorised through decentralised technologies, supporting sustainable rural energy systems and new value chains for agricultural by-products.

This event contributed to strengthening dialogue between research organisations, technology providers, and local stakeholders, while raising awareness of practical solutions for the sustainable management and valorisation of agricultural residues.
