General Assembly Meeting, Netherlands
On 12–13 May 2026, the TEAPOTS consortium convened in Wageningen, the Netherlands, for the project’s M29 General Assembly Meeting, hosted by Wageningen University & Research (WUR). The two-day event brought together project partners to review progress, exchange knowledge, and plan the next phase of the project as TEAPOTS approaches the end of its second reporting period.
The meeting combined technical presentations, strategic discussions, and hands-on visits, reinforcing the project’s collaborative approach to innovation and sustainable system development.
Day 1: Technical Progress, Keynotes, and Strategic Planning
The first day focused on technical work package presentations, providing partners with updates on ongoing activities, recent achievements, and upcoming milestones across the project.
In addition to internal discussions, consortium members benefited from three keynote presentations, allowing participants to gain insights not only from within TEAPOTS, but also from external experts and related fields. Big thank you has to go to the speakers:
Iris Vural Gursel
Nathan van den Dool
Kimo van Dijk
These contributions encouraged interdisciplinary exchange and helped place the project’s developments into a broader innovation context.
As the consortium approaches a major reporting milestone, discussions also addressed future planning, coordination activities, and preparations for the next project phase. Alongside the technical programme, the meeting offered valuable opportunities for informal exchange and networking between partners.
Day 2: Innovation in Practice
The second day shifted focus toward real-world applications and field activities. A major highlight was the visit to Boerderij de Boerinn, where consortium members learned more about the implementation of CHRS system and Boerinn’s innovative approaches to sustainable heating and resource management.
The programme continued with a tour of the Wageningen University & Research laboratories, providing participants with additional insights into research infrastructure and ongoing experimental activities supporting sustainable technologies.
We'd like to thank the entire Wageningen University organising team for their excellent preparation, coordination, and hospitality throughout the meeting.
The M29 General Assembly once again highlighted the strength of collaboration within the TEAPOTS consortium and the shared commitment to transforming research into impactful, real-world innovation. With the consortium back home, partners are moving forward with the next stages of the project, including several exciting developments and dissemination activities we'll share in the coming months.
