From Waste to Sustainable Fuels: Final Programme
The final programme is now available for the “From Waste to Sustainable Fuels” Joint Symposium, taking place on 28–29 May 2026 in Barcelona. Co-organised by TEAPOTS together with the EU-funded projects FlexBY, FUEL-UP, Bio-MeGaFuel, BeBOP, PYSOLO and Fuels-C, the event will focus on sustainability assessment and product standardisation in next-generation biofuel pathways.
Over two days, the symposium will bring together experts from research, industry and policy to discuss key challenges and opportunities in the transition towards sustainable fuels, with a particular focus on waste-to-fuel solutions for hard-to-abate sectors.
The programme will address a wide range of topics relevant to the future deployment of advanced biofuels and e-fuels, including life cycle sustainability assessment, circularity, greenhouse gas emissions, techno-economic performance, sustainable aviation fuel requirements and emerging conversion pathways.
A dedicated panel discussion will explore the alignment of LCA methodologies for biofuels, while the final roundtable will provide space to reflect on the main insights from the symposium and identify opportunities for further collaboration.
By contributing to this joint clustering activity, TEAPOTS supports knowledge exchange across complementary EU-funded initiatives and helps strengthen cooperation towards sustainable fuel innovation in Europe.
