TEAPOTS Co-organises Biomass Workshop in Crete

We are happy to announce that the TEAPOTS project, together with PRIMARY and PROMOFER, is co-organising an upcoming workshop taking place in Heraklion, Crete, on 12 June 2026. The event will focus on the crucial role of biomass as a key enabler of the bioeconomy and circular economy, bringing together local stakeholders to explore practical approaches to biomass utilisation, sustainable resource management and circular value chains.

The workshop, entitled “Valorisation of olive pruning residues and residual biomass in the context of the circular bioeconomy”, will take place from 10:00 to 13:30 at the Multi-purpose Centre of the Municipality of Heraklion, Androgeou 4. Participation is free of charge.

Through a series of presentations and discussions, participants will explore practical examples and ongoing initiatives demonstrating how biomass can be effectively valorised to create environmental, economic and social benefits. The programme will highlight the connections between biomass, bioenergy, bio-based materials and sustainable resource management.

The workshop will provide an opportunity to exchange knowledge, discuss current challenges and opportunities, and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders working towards more sustainable and circular bio-based systems.

By co-organising this event, TEAPOTS supports dialogue between projects, initiatives and local stakeholders, contributing to wider efforts to advance biomass valorisation and promote a more resource-efficient circular bioeconomy.
