Key Milestone: Preparing the TIS at the Greek Pilot
Within the TEAPOTS project, the Greek pilot site at Filia Ghi is entering a critical stage of preparation for the TEAPOTS Integrated Solution (TIS). This milestone marks the transition from planning to operational readiness, bringing together advanced technologies designed to transform agricultural residues into renewable energy and valuable by-products.
At the Greek pilot, several TEAPOTS partners are collaborating to combine four core innovations into a cohesive operational setup:
Pyrolysis and biochar production – provided by Agrimeccanica
Compost Heat Recovery System (CHRS) and biomass mixing solution – delivered by Stichting Biomeiler
Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) unit – developed by AUA
AI-enhanced biomass monitoring sensors – supplied by INL
The integration is coordinated and supervised by CERTH, acting as the technical lead and ensuring that each component is harmonised within the TIS framework. By linking these technologies, TEAPOTS demonstrates a scalable and flexible model for renewable energy generation and circular bioeconomy applications.
In parallel, all consortium partners contribute through regular meetings, remote collaboration, and continuous technical input, ensuring that the pilot moves forward efficiently. The coming months will focus on finalising integration, testing system interoperability, and preparing for the demonstration.
