TEAPOTS Showcased at AIIA 2025 in Italy
From 21–24 September 2025, TEAPOTS partners from Uptoearth and the University of Padova represented the project at the AIIA 2025 International Conference – Biosystems Engineering for the Green Transition, held in Reggio Calabria, Italy. The event drew experts from academia, industry, and research, providing a platform for exchanging knowledge on innovative approaches to sustainable agriculture and environmental engineering.
Federica D’Acunto from Uptoearth presented “Advancing Circular Bioeconomy in Agriculture: GIS-Based Strategies for Agricultural Bioresources Supply-Chain and Valorisation.” Her contribution provided insights into methodologies for mapping biomass, crops, and other agricultural resources, as well as the results achieved so far.
Andrea Pezzuolo from the University of Padova delivered the second presentation, “Potential Use of Digestate and Biochar as Biofertilizers for Mitigating Land Degradation in Rural Areas: A GIS and Remote Sensing-Based Approach.” This talk highlighted innovative strategies to enhance soil health and promote sustainable farming through the valorisation of bioresources.
The presence of TEAPOTS at AIIA 2025 underscores the project’s active role in advancing research for circular bioeconomy and sustainable land management across Europe.
