Meet the Projects Behind “From Waste to Sustainable Fuels”

From agricultural residues and industrial waste streams to forest biomass and other biogenic resources, European research projects are exploring different pathways towards more sustainable fuels and circular energy solutions.

On 28–29 May 2026, TEAPOTS joined several EU-funded projects in Barcelona for the Joint Symposium “From Waste to Sustainable Fuels”, bringing together researchers, industry representatives and policymakers to exchange knowledge on sustainable fuel production and explore synergies across complementary approaches.

The symposium was co-organised by TEAPOTS, FlexBY, FUEL-UP, Bio-MeGaFuel, BeBOP, PYSOLO and Fuels-C, bringing together projects working across different waste streams, technologies and pathways towards more sustainable fuels.

While in Barcelona, we also took the opportunity to record a series of short video introductions with representatives of five of the participating projects. Each video is less than one minute long, offering a quick glimpse into the project and the work being carried out within it.

Explore the carousel below and get to know the projects in under a minute each:
